BSV Needs To Mature

BSV is great for business, but not (yet) for consumers. Too dramatic and too inconsistent. This will improve.

I speak about BitcoinSV today in the past tense because we've basically replaced it with a different payment method (Stripe). Having nothing but constant drama and controversy, delisting after delisting, and the absolute impossibility of acquiring and selling BSV easily means we don't see much use anymore.

On-ramps are hard to come by, and off-ramps are another concern altogether. Why is it so intensely difficult to get and sell BSV? The biggest thing holding BSV back right now is the lack of intuitive and consistent on- and off-ramps. It is literally just a cryptocurrency. Why is it so difficult for services like HandCash to be able to offer their top-up service? Why in the hell do they have to send out gift cards as an off-ramp?

The tech itself is great for business. Fees are great. That's wonderful. But that has almost nothing to do with the customer or consumer. They can't easily buy BSV. They can't easily sell BSV. Anything that can has yet to be permanent. When HandCash even had top-up, it was for a matter of weeks. And then it would be offline for months. They don't have top-up as of this writing. More exchanges have delisted the currency since we integrated with it.

HODLers and traders might be into this dramatic video game insanity, but consumers simply aren't. And it feels like that situation isn't even trying to improve. The act of buying cryptocurrency is banned in three US states. So we really had no choice but to also integrate Stripe as a payment method. And virtually all of our customers have migrated to using that.

I'll have separate projects that use BitcoinSV as a payment method, but DTP's primary products will be using Stripe and BSV. This allows us to operate as a business while also having the patience required for BitcoinSV to work out these issues and become more usable for the mainstream consumer.

I don't and won't cheat to win, and I am allergic to those who do. I instead do everything the hard way because it's more fun. You play games on [difficulty level]. I made the game.
