Shing Status and Funding

With Shing being as ridiculously far behind as it is in funding for the month, I have chosen to simply take it offline during the days. From 5:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on any day that the funding bar is RED, Shing will take itself offline and remain unavailable for service until 5:00 p.m. This enables evening use when most people use it anyway, and provides a reminder that payment is required to use Shing when needed.

It can also just remain offline. I've said and done this before and I will not do this agian. If you won't pay for it? It just won't be there. It's that simple, and I don't care if that doesn't "work" for you. If you're not paying, I DON'T WORK FOR YOU. Why is that a surprise?

Why Are You Like This, Rob?

You aren't me and can't be while doing this. You have exactly zero comprehension of my day. This is, however, my entire job. I don't do other things because this doesn't leave time for that. It's 24/7, 365. So, this either is how I earn my living or I don't and won't do this. That is why I am like this. I've already made all the compromises I intend to make while doing this.

I don't care if you think you can do this better or cheaper. Go do it, and shut up while failing. I can't even afford a proper testing environment or to otherwise do this the right way in a lot of ways that just require personal sacrifice. So, I have to just wait until the after-hours to do my testing and deployments, etc. My entire life, around the clock, is dedicated to this. If you want that to continue, YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR IT.

Why do you think no one else does what I do and gets even similar results? They can't.

Payment Methods

Payment methods and systems are what they are. No matter which one is recommended, the community just doesn't want to use it. Well, I no longer care. So I am going to implement the PO Box payment method. And, I am going to implement a credit card processing gateway. And, you are going to use one of those two things. Or, you are not going to use Shing.

As soon as I can make it happen without working on anything else anyone needs at all, I am enforcing payment at Shing. Too many people just don't understand that I am not fucking around with this. Payment is not optional, so now it's going to be required.

Cost

$5/month. That's all it would've taken. You can't make that happen. So, I'm going to make this happen. It will sort out those who need to be here from those who don't, and I don't care (at all) how that sorts itself out. Pay, or leave right now. I'm actually like this. I'll always be like this. There is no sense testing this, it will always go like this. I will not change. You will. Or, there is no Shing.
